Counselling & Psychotherapy
Confidential one-to-one therapy using person-centred, CBT, integrative and trauma-informed approaches — in Leamington Spa, by phone or online.
One-to-one counselling, shaped around you
Counselling gives you a private, confidential space to talk through whatever is weighing on you, with a qualified therapist who will listen without judgement. At Clear Counselling we draw on person-centred, CBT, integrative and trauma-informed approaches, so each course of sessions is shaped around what you bring — there’s no fixed programme you’re asked to fit into.
People come to us for many reasons, including anxiety, low mood, stress, anger, relationships, past trauma, or simply feeling stuck. You don’t need to have a diagnosis, or know exactly what you want to say, to get started.
Our approaches
Person-centred therapy
You lead the conversation. Your therapist offers warmth, empathy and genuine understanding, helping you make sense of your feelings and find your own way forward.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
A practical, structured approach that looks at the links between thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and helps you build new ways of coping.
Integrative and trauma-informed care
Your therapist can combine approaches to suit you, always working at a pace that feels safe — particularly important if you have experienced trauma.

Frequently asked questions
How long is a counselling session?
Sessions usually last 50 minutes. You and your therapist will agree how often to meet, and review together how things are going.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can refer yourself directly through our contact form. We also accept referrals from GPs, probation and partner organisations.
Is counselling confidential?
Yes. What you share stays private, with a few important exceptions — for example if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else, or if your attendance has been directed by probation. Your therapist will explain these clearly in your first session.
Can I have counselling online or by phone?
Yes. As well as in-person sessions at our office in Leamington Spa, we offer telephone and online therapy, so you can choose whatever feels most comfortable and practical.
How much does counselling cost?
Fees depend on how your sessions are arranged — for example whether they are self-funded or commissioned by a referring organisation. Please get in touch and we'll talk you through the options.
