Talking about relationship issues
No two relationships are the same, and it is important that you recognise when you feel unhappy in your relationship so that you can address the issues that you are facing. All relationships come under strain with the pressures of daily living, and sometimes these strains remain and persist. This can ultimately change the way that individuals feel in the relationship by causing tension with the other person. Recognising the problem is the first step in resolving it, but this can be a difficult process that takes time, effort and patience to explore. When our relationships feel difficult, this affects the way that we feel and our own sense of wellbeing suffers. Communication between relations is key to being able to resolve issues, but when feelings like boredom and anxiety arise this understandably becomes difficult.
How can Clear Counselling help?
Counselling can help by listening to and exploring how each person in the relationship perceives the problem, in order to look towards resolving what feels fractured. This can include looking into where traits, values and beliefs have come from. Destructive ways of behaving can be identified and addressed, and communication improved. Attending counselling individually or together to explore the difficulties in your relationship, without judgment, in a safe non-judgmental space highlights the importance of the relationship and can rebuild a sense of trust, and communication.
